John Quin was born in Glasgow and trained there and at Kings, London, in endocrinology. He was a consultant physician at the Royal Sussex County in Brighton until his retirement in 2016. He writes regularly for ArtReview magazine and The Quietus.

Dr. Quin, Medicine Man was published by @BitebackPub in 2021 with the paperback coming out in 2022.
